Dearest Biggie,

Dearest Biggie,

Today is the 13th anniversary of your untimely death.

[May 21, 1972 - March 9, 1997]
I remember exactly where I was & how I felt. You were around the age I am currently.
But, you are a hip hop legend & uncomparable to many.
Although I am a west coast girl, I've ALWAYS loved Big Poppa & today I along with millions of others celebrate your life & music.

& now one of my favorite Biggie verses ever from "Notorious Thugs"..

"Armed and dangerous, ain't too many can bang with us/
Straight up weed no angel dust, label us Notorious"

Dearest T.I.,

Dearest T.I.,

"...Keep your mind on your grind...

..& off of minez, alright??"

The KING is back & I am ohsoexcited about this.
Soon as I saw the link, i hopped up to check out the new single, "I'm Back" [<== click to download] & of course, I'm not disappointed. Its an appropiate song for the moment all of us SERIOUS Tip fans have been waiting for.

Welcome back. You have TRULY been missed.
& now THEE song that made me a TI fanatic..."Dope Boyz".

Dearest Jagged Edge,

Dearest Jagged Edge,

As much as I want to LOVE this new joint...

...I just ain't feeling it. I have listened to it a few times already & when I heard one of the twins' lead vocals, instantly, I thought I'd be in love with JE again...but it doesn't sound like a classic JE joint, although Trina & Gucci are a good look. Ha.

I'm not giving up on yall, though. I'm still a devoted fan & I'm SO anxious for your debut album with Slip-N-Slide, The Remedy, to drop...soon? maybe?

&& now one song I consider to be a CLASSIC JE joint, "Good Luck Charm".

Dearest LiL Wayne,

Dearest LiL Wayne,

A little over 20 minutes ago, your freedom ended.

According to MTV.com,

NEW YORK — Lil Wayne turned himself in to authorities Monday (March 8) after multiple sentencing delays for a July 2007 gun-possession charge.
A near riot broke out in front of the Manhattan Criminal Court Building when the superstar MC entered, escorted by police and his Cash Money crew. Photographers aggressively angled to capture the last images of the rapper before he was formally sentenced to one year in prison.
Dressed in black jeans, a black shirt and a gray jacket, Lil Wayne made his way in, before Judge Charles H. Solomon sentenced the rapper. The New Orleans native sat next to his lawyer, Stacey Richman, without addressing the court.
After Solomon reminded Wayne of his charges, the rapper firmly nodded that he understood. Police then handcuffed Lil Wayne and he stood up to be taken away.
He paused momentarily before leaving and nodded to Cash Money execs Birdman and Slim, who were present in the courtroom. Just like that, Wayne was gone.

&& now, "Drop the World" ft. one of my favorite emcees EVER, Eminem.

PS: Is there an address where fans can write you?

Dearest Fabolous,

Dearest Fabolous,

There REALLY is NO competition right now...

Unlike many of the other lames, I'm not surprised at how hot your new mixtape, The Is No Competition 2 [DJ Drama. Gangsta Grillz you bastards], is. You have been in my top 3 favorite hip hop artists since your dada-da-da-da-da-damn days. Shiiiddd, I always knew you were hot & now many of the people who were in a deep ass slumber are finally starting to wake up.

Ever since the album has dropped, my twitter time line has been filled with your lyrics. I LOVE IT!

Dearest Trey Songz,

Dearest Trey Songz,

If the neighbors don't know your name by now...

...I think now that the video dropped, they will know yours, hers, his & maybe even mine :).
You & ol' girl were getting to it, weren't you? Red Light Special. So, are they going to be able to air this content on BET's 106&Park?

I have loved you since wwwaayyy before you became Trigga. When we were first introduced you were explaining to me how you just "Gotta Make It" [classic album btw] & to see how far you have come since then, is incredible. The ladies love Trey Songz...

PS: Congratulations on your album, READY, being certified Gold.

Dearest Monica,

Dearest Monica,

...aka Miss Thang...

I absolutely love your new single, "Everything to Me".
I, like the rest of the world, have been impatiently waiting to hear new music & I am so happy you return & bless us with a beautiful love song.
I just love when you & Missy Elliott get together. I am usually not a big fan of sampling, but Missy did her thang with one of my favorite songs EVER, "Silly" by Deniece Williams. I must admit though, a reason I love this song is because I can relate to the lyrics Jazmine Sullivan penned for your one of a kind voice.

Monica, your style is B.A.D.! Who's your stylist?
You're so gorgeous. Makeup.Hair.Vocals. All on point. You are a bad 'bish', homegirl.
I love the outfits you are wearing [Alexander McQueen -RIP], but I have to know about the black jacket, that appears around 1:12, immediately.

In true Love Note fashion, its time for a throwback. One of my favorite Monica & Missy collabos, "Knock, Knock".

[I LOVED "Set it Off" too!]
PS: Your album, STILL STANDING, will be dropping on 03/23/2010...YES!
